Founded in Southern California in 1980, Bad Religion is an American Punk/Rock band. Members included Jay Bentley (bass), Greg Graffin (vocals), Brett Gurewitz (guitars) and Jay Ziskrout (drums) but have changed of the years; Graffin being the only constistant member. Today the band features three of the four original members. Many recent Pop/Punk bands credit Bad Religion’s 20 albums as inspiring sources of music. The album Suffer (1988) is sometimes reguarded as one of the most important Punk/Rock albums ever recorded, although Recipe for Hate (1993) reached number 14 on the Billboard’s Heatseekers chart, marking the highest point in the bands career. Singles such as "21st Century (Digital Boy)" and "Infected", reached gold status in the United States. The band has discussed the possibility of recording another studio album that is expected to be released in 2010. This will also be the first time that a Bad Religion line-up has been the same for four uninterrupted studio recordings. Bad Religion is still known today for meaningful lyrics, sophisticated use of English writing techniques, and vocal harmonies.
